The idea that started with the word ‘fake’ lead myself and Louise Lawlor to set up a fake design studio. The aim of the project was to try and tap into our inner child, allowing us to access the purest form of creativity, make believe. As this project progressed we began to explore the professional process of running a design business, how it could be exploited thus allowing us to break design ethics. This disregard for ethics was to make the fraud all the more obvious whilst trying to gauge the reaction of the design community. Afterwards an artist’s book was produced to show the ideas, development, reaction to, evaluation and the inevitable self destruction of fake design studio.
