I am always busy

So busy that I have time to make odd experiments using scaled up spinning Mac OS beachballs that work across spaces…

Here is the video showing how I achieved this. If you want to try it yourself, you can download the file here: /Alwaysbusy.zip

Mosh Study: A

A mosh study of the letter A from my alphabet. Taking all of the pixel lines created in the video and composing it into one visual set in four colours. Thinking of doing these painted or spray painted on canvas/some other surface large scale in my spare time. It would be nice to do each letter…

Jump

New piece of internet art experimenting with safari and chromes webkit animations for div layers. Using basic HTML objects like forms, embedded players, img tags and iframes and animating them to the beat of House of Pains “Jump”. WARNING: Use in internet explorer and firefox at your peril!

I am finally getting around to making some Internet Art again, which I have missed doing and want to focus on more. This is a website inspired by the FB Resistance Artists set up by Tobias Leingruber. This website is about Facebook’s denial of the dislike button, despite millions of it’s users wanting one. There is no dislike, only like. Enjoy playing!

Datamosh

This is possibly one of the coolest things I have ever seen, song and video about mashing together data and digital culture as the whole video looks distorted and pixelated as an effect to aid the story throughout the video. Amazing!

Through A Hole Music Video

Very clever music video where everything takes place on the computer, especially love the chat roulette parts. Made for the band Vortex Park and made by Alex Wolf. Found on Swissmiss.

Future

Made a little gif mashup I have entitled ‘Future’….

CSS Layer Letterforms

I am playing around with the idea of creating letterforms from div layers. Some simple code overlays other letters ontop of each other to create interesting shapes. Mostly using the capital placed ontop of the normal letter to see how it takes away from the shape. I’ve done it in serif and sans serif atm. May continue to develop trying different fonts and sizes etc.
